In addition to my PHD I also hold an MSc (with distinction) in Environmental Science, Policy and Planning and have a strong grasp of all major sustainability concepts and issues.
I am keen to collaborate with journalists, academics, think tanks and campaigners to assist or lead on research projects relating to social, economic and environmental issues.
Testing and discovering what makes sustainability education great
My PhD introduced a broader definition of Sustainability education and explored the factors shaping the design and delivery of current practice. Through case studies and interviews with educators in formal, non-formal and informal settings, I uncovered the conditions needed for a broader version of sustainability education to flourish.
Professionally I have worked on several research projects in education, community engagement, recycling and litter. Most recently, in 2016, I was commissioned to lead an in depth review of waste and recycling education on behalf of WRAP (the Waste and Resources Action Programme).
I am currently interested in research projects relating to broader definition's of sustainability education, with a particular focus on how to apply recommendations made by the Common Cause movement in NGO and education settings.
